As I sit here at my computer ( 10:50pm, Tuesday, November 4, 2008 ) I feel a sadness engulfing me primarily because of the "Barack Obama Festival of Love, Coronation to Messiahdom, and Acceptance of the Presidency of the United States of America" that is occuring a few miles away in Grant Park. There are hundreds of thousands of Obama supporters squeezed together in the park...most feeling the urge to say "free at last, free at last," as if the ascendency of Barack Obama is somehow parting the waters of a sea of despair that is "deeply" ( ??? ) felt by many of his supporters for a variety of reasons.

 

A lot of white Obama supporters now feel that they have lifted an enormous monkey off their collective backs that is commonly known as "white guilt" ( for slavery, racism, jim crow, and the generally perceived myth of "whitey holding the brothers and sisters down" today, almost a century and a half since Lincoln freed the slaves after the Civil War ). Yes, many liberal, left wing leaning, sheepish whites think that everything will now be alright between whites and blacks because they showed the world that America is finally "repenting for all of it's past racial slights towards blacks." Now the world is waiting to see if Barack Obama will get white America to also genuflect to european countries, Latin American banana republics ( yeah, that means Castro and Chavez...among others in the southern hemisphere ), and the vile, vicious, and hate all Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Quida, and Taliban groupings of Muslim religious fanatics who would cut all of our American throats in a second if they could figure out how. Ah, can't you see the "soft" whites wringing their hands and looking deeply sincere and filled with sorrow as tears of "penance" roll down and over their alabaster cheekbones. Hmmmmm.

 

A lot of African-Americans are strutting around saying both hallelujah and "it's about time." You can sense that somewhere in their minds they are already visualizing how they want Barack to "punish" white America for all of it's accumulated wrongs against the black race...this despite all the whites who died to free the slaves during the civil war, the way that America has made steady progress to rith the wrongs of racism, jim crow, and all of the other inequities thrown upon blacks like shackles up until the sixties when Martin Luther King came along to hasten the development of civil rights and equal opportunity for all in housing, education, and work in this great land. Unfortunately, since the first thing that comes into the minds of most blacks in America at this hour is retribution ( along with, dare I say it, reparations??!!), it is obvious that the majority of American blacks still don't get what opportunity really means in the world today. The government has passified the black masses through welfare, affirmative action, and a mountain of flat out "handouts for nothing" like the recent "rebate" checks everybody but the dead got. Blacks in America have their own culture, their own language, their own way of thinking ( from AFRO-CENTRIC to RACIST to TRADITIONAL AMERICAN ) that are so disparate from the cultural universe that whites live in as to seem from another dimension in many cases. Yet, African Americans feel no shame or hypocracy in want "what white folks got." Yeah, the brothers and sisters want the so-called "bling" that white america keeps developing every day. Of course they want it without necessarily having to put out much in the way of intellectual or physical effort in the process. That is one of the reasons why one finds rap music loving, Hummer driving, baseball cap and baggy clothes wearing, outsized jewelry wearing, jive talking, and ill tempered blacks on virtually every corner in America today waving their freak flag high in defiance of the "other" culture that they can't quite deconstruct enough to make it a legitimate ( ??? ) "black thang."

 

The "rest of us" in this society see the above two groups in ecstacy because of the ascension of Barack Obama...a man about whom none of us knows anything about except that his closest circle of friends consists of a cast of characters that no sane and sensible person would come within a mile of ( Ayers, Wright, Pfleger, Farrakhan, Khalidi, etc )...a man who could not even pass the security background checks of the security personnel who surround him...a man whose eloquence is extraordinary when coupled with a teleprompter or a speech written on paper in front of him...a man who has mastered the art of answering every question put to him with ( at least ) two points of view and opinion...a man who openly drops marxist and socialist ideology into his off the cuff comments to others ( check out his tete a' tete with "Joe the Plumber" )...a man who has a wife who abhors "America" ( I wonder if she spells it with a "k" instead of a "c" )...a man who routinely has his underlings dig into the who, what, and everything one can know about anyone and everyone who asks him the "wrong" questions ( or gets him to slip up and give the "wrong" answers-again, check out "Joe the Plumber" whose entire life was "checked out by Obama operatives within the US government within hours of that infamous YOUTUBE video clip becoming popular )...a man whose two ( 2...what a life!!! ) autobiographies would make any intelligent citizen of this country want to keep him as far away from the reins of political power as possible...a "trickster" dressed in ivy league finery coupled with a silver tongue. Hmmmm, just who is this man who has never held a real job in his life except as a community organizer, has virtually no executive experience, and whose experience in the Illinois state senate consists of just about 144 days??? Who would elect this character to dog catcher, let alone the presidency of the USA based on his "experience"??? If the truth be told, Barack Obama is a product of his ( after Hawaii and Indonesia ) adult life in beautiful Chicago, Illinois; the most politically corrupt ( check out Mayor Richard "Shortshanks" Daley, George Ryan, the current governor, "Blago", Todd "the idiot" Stroger, Emil " I want a raise...and give my son my job when I retire" Jones, and all the rest of the thieves and scoundrels who rule Chicago and Illinois to the detriment of all who live here ) and dangerous ( we are the murder capital of the United States...it is safer in Afghanistan than it is in this city's black communities where the brothers and sisters seem to take shooting at each other as some sort of "soul sport." And what about Obama's spiritual mentors ( Wright, Pfleger, and Farrakhan )? How about that "former" radical who just happens to live in the neighborhood ( William Ayers )? What gives with the avowed communist who mentored young Barack in Hawaii, Frank Marshall Davis ( would believe this guy was so radical that he had to flee Chicago because of his radical ravings and rantings??? ). Hmmmmm!

 

Ah, but I digress. It is now 12:05am, Tuesday, November 5, 2008, and I assume all of the "Obamaites" are in full swoon in Grant Park by now after Obama has probably assuaged them all with a speech filled with lies and pomposity swirled around his usual jive about Hope and Change. God bless them all, and god bless Barack Obama. I am not in his fan club, nor will I ever be. He is not what he appears to be, nor is he some sort of messiah for American blacks. He is just another silver tongued political hack who has lucked upon the right moment in time to make a move to power. I reiterate that I would not vote for him to be in charge of animal control here in Chicago ( anyone who is able to say great things about Chicago's village idiot, Todd Stroger-Cook County Commissioner-is a man who I would keep my eyes on at all times while checking to see if my wallet is still in my back pocket...nuff said! ).

 

President elect, Barack Obama. Ha, ha, ha. I will watch this clown act as it unfolds and destroys the America that I once knew and loved. Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, and all the other crooks in Washington, DC ( Democrat and Republican ) along with their cronies on Wall Street and in banking are going to take America for a ride into hell at full gallop over the next four years. Try to observe it at a distance. The real "audacity of hope" will be in the hearts and minds of the misguided whites, latinos, and others who voted Obama into office.

 

One more thing...If you will recall the incident earlier this year when Obama decided not to visit a wounded veterans hospital in Germany when he found out that his personal photographers and entourage would not be allowed to come along. He chose to play some "hoops" in the gym at the local Ritz-Carleton instead. Just what you would expect from a "brother" I suppose...hoops over hope. The audacity of the man knows no limits. He has no respect for our country's warriors because he himself is not, and never could be, a true warrior. Yet, I know that he can't wait to be called "Commander in Chief." Barack Obama, I have a salute for you...one that I hope you will remember for the rest of your days in office...and it is not with the index finger Mr. President.

 

Now its time to stock up on popcorn, soda pop, Maxwell Street Polish and Pork Chop sandwiches, soul food, milk, and ice cream so that I can watch this circus play out for four loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong years in which Obama will create hundres of welfare programs. thousands of meaningless "energy" related jobs ( not to mention his version of Hitler's SA; the civilian national security force??? ), refine race baiting into an art, and give lots of our society's loser sub-culture THE AUDACITY OF HOPE ( that they can take advantage of every civilized person in the country who has any personal possessions worth cutting their throats for ).

 

I hear that train 'a comin. People get ready, theres a train a comin' ( my apoogies to the great Curtis Mayfield for using his lyrics here ), picking up thugs, felons, pimps, prostitutes, drug dealers, drug addicts, and assorted other low life for a trip into the very fabric of this once great nation. Obama has put his foot in the door, and it will be four years before we can get his foot out. May our nation and our values survive that long.
